6 Winning factors for a make-up competition

I am privileged to have a good team that joins me for make-up competition throughout Asia and will gladly share winning tips to prepare you for your next competition.

1. Know your theme well

You must understand the theme really well before you start preparing for it. Check the colors, hair style and a model outfit complement each other. Hold the colours natural, so that the model's feature can shine through. Let make up speaks for itself. Familiarize yourself with the tools and make up as you use-texture, colors, so you can measure how they are going to turn out and affect the model looks. Don't be afraid to props. The theme is nature, for example. You can put some tropical fruits and a simple background theme reflects nature.

2. Time yourself

It is very important to complete the appearance within a given period. Practicing as often as you can before the competition, and time itself. Get used to the time frame and you don't feel so nervous on stage. Tag your tools properly and always put them together in your make-up box, so you need not spend valuable time searching your tools. I suggest you practice at least 10 times before a competition. If a problem crops when you are on the scene, think quickly and find the next best option, do not waste any time.

3. choose a good model

When you select your model, be sure to get someone who has perfect skin and beautiful that will save you time preparing face base. Make will go smoothly and the colors show better also. Check the other details, hair and outfit, and get the model's best features. I suggest if you can choose someone who is beautiful and high as people always are attracted to the beautiful people and judges are people too.

4. plan ahead

Prepare an outline of your creation in advance so that you can reference it. I know, there are no rules that you cannot refer to your creation. Take it step by step so that you do not disclose anything. It will help you calm when you're on stage and do not have problems with that line.

5. Do your homework

Themes that tend to be quite abstract, so it is up to you to figure out a strong concept. Surf the internet, read newspapers or watch TV to get ideas. Keep practicing until you Prefect your technology.

6. use your imagination.

Sometimes you get better results if you just go with the flow. Follow your instincts and let your imagination run wild. You tend to get more creative ideas for how and what the judges look for.
